First Baby of 2015 | Chilliwack Newborn Baby Photographer

This little guy became my first studio visitor of 2015... and he was a joy to photograph - so cute and so well behaved!

Because I have limited Newborn spots available each month (to cater for the craziness of unknown arrival dates and diary juggling!), parents usually contact me to book during the last few months of pregnancy. However, with the chaos of Christmas approaching etc, his session ended up being quite a last minute booking. I am SO glad I was able to squeeze him, as I honestly couldn't have asked for a lovelier family to work with!

December 2014 was insanely busy for me, and whilst many got to take a week off between Christmas & New Year, my camera was as busy as ever! (I'm not complaining though.. it meant I wasn't stuffing my face with seasonal naughty treats and listening to my kids fighting over whoever was cheating at their new Hungry Hippos game!)

It was in that week, that my studio welcomed this brand new family, as my last Newborn Session of 2014. I have to say that this new Momma looked amazing (you would never know she had just had a baby!), and her little man was just a delight to shoot.

Phew! This has been a crazy busy Fall/Winter... and it hasn't slowed down for the Christmas Season with 2 Newborn Sessions, a Business Headshot Session AND a long Commercial Session to shoot in just this week alone! My January is already mostly full and with enquiries coming in all the way to March, I am excited to see what 2015 brings...

Well, in case my schedule keeps me from hitting the blog before New Year, I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you a happy & healthy 2015, and to say a BIG thank you to everyone who has helped or supported my business in 2014. I love what I do and the people I have the pleasure to work with in this business - who thought grafting to pay the bills and put food on my family's table could be so rewarding in so many other ways?!

Be Careful What You Ask Santa For! | Chilliwack Newborn Baby Photographer

Sometimes you do need to make sure you give Santa clear instructions when putting in your Christmas wishes. Take this little lady, for example... she asked Santa for a baby and he delivered an early present of a baby brother! I wonder if she actually meant to order a real one?!

Well, whether she meant a real one or not, she certainly is stepping up to be a great big sister and was an absolute angel for her little brother's newborn session. Mind you, he was pretty well behaved too!

A Beautiful Little Miss | Chilliwack Newborn Baby Photographer

I was really excited to meet this little lady for her newborn session, after photographing her ridiculously-good-looking parents for their maternity session... and as predicted (by me!) she was a ridiculously cute baby.

We were anticipating, though, that her session was not going to be the easiest for me, since our "date" had been delayed by a brief stay in the NICU and a warning from Mom that she was a little fussy... however, she proved us all wrong and was a total angel. I think she just likes keeping everyone on their toes!
