Big Sister In Training | Abbotsford Maternity Photographer

I am playing a little bit of catch-up on my blog today... 2016 had such a great (but very busy!) start to it,  so I have been a bit of a naughty, negligent blogger (booo me!). Well, things kicked off in style on just the second day of the year, with this lovely family, who were about to become a family of 4!
This little "big-sister-in-training" was a bit shy at first, but soon came out of her shell, and the session just zipped along with some beautiful shots to show for it. In fact, the family did so well that we even had time to quickly nip down to the Heron Reserve for a few quick outdoor shots as well!

Puppy Love | Chilliwack Newborn Baby Photographer

Sibling photos are probably the most popular part of many of my newborn photo galleries. Having a sibling is such a special relationship - you have a shared upbringing that forms a unique bond as an instant ready-made friend, playmate and confidante. Well, for this session, our new little person brought a slightly different kind of sibling... one with 4 fluffy legs!
I am a true dog lover, but I don't usually encourage pets in our newborn sessions. Animals are very unpredictable, especially when thrown into a strange, bright studio environment with a scary camera-face lady...and like the regular little 2-legged siblings, they are adjusting to a major change in their home life. On top of that, as a mother & wife to allergy sufferers, I am sensitive to keeping my studio as allergen & dander-free as I can.
However, after talking it through with Mom & Dad, we decided to give it a go, since pup was very well-behaved, had taken to baby fantastically and had the kind of non-shedding coat that doesn't cause so many of those pesky allergy reactions. I am so glad we did, because the shots came out great. Both parents happily jumped in on "safety watch" for the session, and both siblings rocked it like pro models. Now it make me want to do more pet photography!!
Here is a little taster from their gallery...
